As you ease your way through this course you’ll become aware of the basic skills, understanding and knowledge needed to help educate others about playing softball.
You’ll feel confident whether you are:

Coaching a sport can be nerve-racking if you are not sure what to do. By taking this course you’ll realise taking the time learning what to do, is time well spent.
This course will teach you the core skills to provide fun and engaging softball sessions as a beginner coach.
If you’re an experienced coach this course will reinforce best practice and spark ideas for how you can improve your coaching to keep participants engaged.
Through the course you will learn about the resources in this website that are available and how to use them.
Once you have a basic understanding of the game and how to implement activities that teach softball skills, you’ll be well on your way.
IMPORTANT – Pre-requisites
You must provide evidence of completion for the pre-requisites listed below, in addition to the course content to obtain your course completion certificate.
Pre-requisites for Softball Batter Up Induction, Softball Fundamental Skills, Softball Training and Practice and Softball Managing Games courses can be accessed via the links below.
Please upload your certificates received for the following:
- Essential skills course | Sport Australia
- Coaches Code of Conduct | Signed and Submitted
If you have uploaded any of the pre-requisites for another course already, you do not have to complete them again, simply place them in the upload sectionof the additional course. However, they must stay up to date to ensure each of the prerequisite certificates are “current”.
You will be asked in the last section of each course to upload the certificates from your pre-requisite courses.
There is a section at the end of this course for you to upload documents as proof of completion. You can work through this course and the prerequisites at your own pace, but before you are awarded “completion”, the final step is to provide PDF copies of the certificates achieved and your signed Coaches Code of Conduct.
Once your documents are checked you will be notified and your completion certificate made available to you.
