PROGRAM DETAILS
Softball Batter Up is a modified softball program that teaches fundamental skills through a series of FUN and SAFE games for kids.
As Softball Australia’s national participation program, Softball Batter Up, is designed to be fun, flexible and engaging for children aged 4-8, focusing on fun activities while learning basic throwing, catching, striking and decision making skills.
The program will be adapted for all ages and abilities using the Game Sense and CHANGE IT approach. Softball Batter Up activities align with the national health and physical education curriculum in schools, are written with the purpose of engaging children in physical activity and fostering a life-long love of sport.
This program includes an SBU Starter Set for each participant that contains:
-SBU Backpack
-SBU Bat
-SBU Ball
If you register 2 weeks before the program starts your equipment will be available from the program venue on the first day. Please note, if you have registered after this date, your equipment pack may not arrive before the start of the program, but it will get there.
Please note the program will run for eight weeks. (The program will run for four weeks prior to Christmas, there will be a break during the school holidays, the program will then continue for four weeks).
